You’re Here Because…

If you’ve been feeling disconnected from your body, your desire or your pleasure, you are not alone.

You might notice that:

  • Sex feels like a performance or that you’re just going through the motions.

  • You want more from sex, but you’re not sure what that “more” is or how to find it.

  • You can’t seem to access the desire you used to have, or you’ve never quite known what turns you on.

  • You feel numb, stuck in your head, or unsure how to ask for what you want.

  • You long to feel sensual, alive, and at home in your body.

You are ready for something deeper, a way to reconnect not only with pleasure, but with yourself.

Why You Feel This Way and What’s Possible…

There are many reasons this disconnection can happen.

The culture we live in does not teach us how to slow down, listen to our bodies or honor our needs. Most of us grew up in families and communities that did not talk openly about sex and pleasure. We learn to disconnect, to perform, to please and to push through, without realizing how deeply this shapes our relationship with ourselves.

All of this can leave the body feeling tense, guarded or unsure how to fully let go.

When we begin to understand and tend to these patterns, safety and aliveness can return. With that return, there is a natural capacity for more pleasure, more choice and more connection.

This is where our work together begins.

Hi, I’m Alissa.

I know what it is like to feel disconnected from your body and unsure where to start.

My own journey through early developmental trauma, chronic pelvic pain and sexual shut down led me into this work, and into a deeper truth that there was never anything wrong with me. What felt broken in me was a reflection of the systems and stories I grew up inside.

Through somatic sex coaching, I support women in rebuilding a sense of trust with their bodies, awakening their sensual aliveness and creating a relationship with pleasure that feels expansive and nourishing.

How I Work

Our work together is a collaboration.

I blend Somatic Sexology, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and nervous system regulation to help you reconnect with your body, undo unhelpful beliefs that limit your sexual expression, and expand your capacity for pleasure and connection.

We go slowly and at a pace that feels supportive to you. Each session meets you where you are, honoring your body’s pace and what feels the most supportive to your process. Between sessions, I often offer home-play practices to help you integrate what we explore. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach here, only what feels right for you.

Through this process, you will begin to:

  • Understand your nervous system and how it shapes your experience of connection and desire.

  • Bring compassion to the protective parts that show up in moments of intimacy or vulnerability.

  • Reconnect with your body’s language and sensations through gentle somatic practice.

  • Learn about your unique erotic template, including what turns you on, what turns you off and what truly supports your pleasure.

  • Build new pathways to pleasure that feel grounded, real and sustainable.

This work invites you to gently reframe what you were taught about your body, sex and pleasure, and to begin prioritizing your eroticism and pleasure as an essential part of your life.

Is this a good fit right now

Good Fit:

You’re curious and ready to explore your inner landscape. You’re self-reflective, open to learning, and willing to try new things. You understand that real change happens through consistent practice and are open to exploring between sessions.

Not a Good Fit:

You’re looking for quick fixes or performance-based results. You want something that will “fix” things overnight or a single session that feels like taking a pill to make it all better, without the inner work or embodied practice it takes to create lasting change.

  • "I've learned so much about my body, how to communicate with it, and how to connect more deeply with my partner. I feel more in tune, more confident, and genuinely excited about sex again, with so much less shame around my body."

    —Lauren

    —Danielle

  • Alissa has a gentle yet transformative approach that allows me to really slow down and reconnect to my physical body. Each session we uncovered a deeper layer and I felt really supported throughout the entire journey.

    —Blythe

  • "Alissa is a gentle and curious practitioner. Her demeanour made me feel immediately at ease, and comfortable - like opening up to a non-judgemental friend. She made it non-threatening to explore depths of self and expression and elucidated a deep inquiry into the subconscious."

Ready to Begin?

If something in you knows it is time to reconnect with your body and expand your relationship to pleasure, I would love to support you.

Together we will create space for your body to soften, for your pleasure to expand and for your connection to deepen, at your own pace and in your own way.

Working with me as your somatic sex coach offers a holistic approach to sexual well being. In our sessions, we explore your sexual concerns from both a top down narrative lens and a bottom up body centered lens.

Through embodiment practices, you will be guided to connect more deeply with your body and expand your capacity to feel pleasure. We can include pleasure practices designed to broaden your orgasmic potential and open new pathways for sensual and sexual fulfillment.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Somatic sex coaching is a body based approach to healing, pleasure, and sexuality. Rather than only talking about your experiences, we work with sensation, breath, awareness, and nervous system regulation to help you reconnect with your body and build new pathways to pleasure and intimacy.

  • This work is for women and couples who feel disconnected from their pleasure, stuck in performative sex patterns, navigating low desire, healing from past experiences, or wanting to feel more present and alive in their body and relationships.

You do not need to be in crisis. Many clients come because they simply know there is more available to them than what they are currently experiencing.

  • Sessions are gentle, guided, and fully clothed. We move between conversation, education, and simple embodiment practices that help you build awareness of your body, your nervous system, and your relationship to pleasure.

Sessions are collaborative, you always have a choice. Nothing is ever required.

  • This work can feel therapeutic, though it is coaching rather than therapy. We focus on present moment awareness, skill building, and practical tools that help you create new experiences in your body and relationships.

  • If you feel curious, drawn in, or relieved reading this, that is often a good sign. You do not need to have the right words yet. Reaching out is simply the first step in exploring what might be possible for you.

  • Trauma informed means we move with care, consent, and awareness of how past experiences can live in the body and nervous system. Sessions are paced gently, you are always in choice, and we pay attention to what helps you feel steady and present rather than overwhelmed.

While this work is supportive for people with trauma histories, it is coaching rather than trauma therapy. The focus is on creating safety, building capacity, and helping your body have new experiences that feel supportive and empowering in the present.
