Perform Inhabit your Sexuality
The body keeps score in ways we don't always notice. Desire goes quiet. Sensation dulls. You feel disconnected- from your body, from your pleasure, sometimes from yourself entirely. You're not sure what turns you on anymore, or if you ever really knew.
There's a numbness that's hard to explain to anyone, maybe even to yourself. You go through the motions and wonder if this is just what sex is now.
It isn't.
Alissa Hansen is a somatic sex coach and sexologist based in Vancouver, BC, helping women reconnect with their bodies, desire, and pleasure.

About Me
This work chose me before I chose it.
Early developmental trauma, chronic pelvic pain, sexual shutdown — I know that territory intimately. What I found on the other side of it was not a fixed version of myself, but a truer one. Nothing was ever wrong with me.
The same is true for you.

I blend Somatic Sexology, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and nervous system regulation to help you reconnect with your body, undo unhelpful beliefs that limit your sexual expression, and expand your capacity for pleasure and connection.
We go slowly and at a pace that feels supportive to you. Each session meets you where you are, honoring your body’s pace and what feels the most supportive to your process. Between sessions, I often offer home-play practices to help you integrate what we explore. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach here, only what feels right for you.
Through this process, you will begin to:
Understand your nervous system and how it shapes your experience of connection and desire.
Bring compassion to the protective parts that show up in moments of intimacy or vulnerability.
Reconnect with your body’s language and sensations through gentle somatic practice.
Learn about your unique erotic template, including what turns you on, what turns you off and what truly supports your pleasure.
Build new pathways to pleasure that feel grounded, real and sustainable.
This work invites you to gently reframe what you were taught about your body, sex and pleasure, and to begin prioritizing your eroticism and pleasure as an essential part of your life.
-
Expanding your relationship to pleasure
Developing nourishing and expansive self-pleasure practices
Unwinding shame and shifting limiting beliefs around sex and pleasure

Trauma informed means we move with care, consent, and awareness of how past experiences can live in the body and nervous system. Sessions are paced gently, you are always in choice, and we pay attention to what helps you feel steady and present rather than overwhelmed.
While this work is supportive for people with trauma histories, it is coaching rather than trauma therapy. The focus is on creating safety, building capacity, and helping your body have new experiences that feel supportive and empowering in the present.
