Perform Inhabit your Sexuality

The body keeps score in ways we don't always notice. Desire goes quiet. Sensation dulls. You feel disconnected- from your body, from your pleasure, sometimes from yourself entirely. You're not sure what turns you on anymore, or if you ever really knew.

There's a numbness that's hard to explain to anyone, maybe even to yourself. You go through the motions and wonder if this is just what sex is now.

It isn't.

Alissa Hansen is a somatic sex coach and sexologist based in Vancouver, BC, helping women reconnect with their bodies, desire, and pleasure.

About Me

This work chose me before I chose it.

Early developmental trauma, chronic pelvic pain, sexual shutdown — I know that territory intimately. What I found on the other side of it was not a fixed version of myself, but a truer one. Nothing was ever wrong with me.

The same is true for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Somatic sex coaching is a body-based approach to healing, pleasure, and sexuality. Rather than only talking about your experiences, we work with sensation, breath, awareness, and nervous system regulation to help you reconnect with your body and build new pathways to pleasure and intimacy.

Sessions are gentle, guided, and fully clothed. We move between conversation, education, and simple embodiment practices that help you build awareness of your body, your nervous system, and your relationship to pleasure.

Sessions are collaborative — you always have a choice. Nothing is ever required.

This work can feel therapeutic, though it is coaching rather than therapy. We focus on present moment awareness, skill building, and practical tools that help you create new experiences in your body and relationships.

No — sessions are fully clothed and virtual. There is no sexual touch administered or nudity involved when we're together. I follow strict professional guidelines, including ongoing conversations and check-ins around consent and what you're comfortable with.

This work is for women and couples who feel disconnected from their pleasure, stuck in performative sex patterns, navigating low desire, healing from past experiences, or wanting to feel more present and alive in their body and relationships.

You do not need to be in crisis. Many clients come simply because they know there is more available to them than what they are currently experiencing.

If you feel curious, drawn in, or relieved reading this, that is often a good sign. You do not need to have the right words yet. Reaching out is simply the first step in exploring what might be possible for you.
